BreakingPakistan has extended the closure of its airspace to Indian aircraft until August 24, the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) confirmed on Saturday . The PAA issued a fresh Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) to this effect, extending the ban which was set to expire on July 24 . The restriction applies to all aircraft registered in India, as well as those operated, owned, or leased by Indian airlines or operators, including military flights . Islamabad first imposed the ban on April 23, 2025, following a sharp escalation in tensions between the two neighbours after an attack in Pahalgam, located in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), which resulted in 26 casualties . India immediately blamed Pakistan for the attack, an allegation Islamabad has categorically denied, while offering to support a neutral investigation .
