ISLAMABAD (News Desk) – Security arrangements in the federal capital, Islamabad, have been significantly tightened ahead of protest calls by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), and farmers. The government has decided to seal the Red Zone and the extended Red Zone with two layers of containers on all five routes, while heavy police deployment is being ensured .

High-Level Meeting Decides to Stop Long March

A high-level meeting was held in Islamabad, attended by senior officials including the Inspectors General of Police from all four provinces. The meeting decided that the long march would be stopped at all costs and protesters would not be allowed to reach the Red Zone .

Red Zone Fully Sealed with Two Layers of Containers

According to sources, all five routes leading to the Red Zone will be completely sealed. Two layers of containers will be placed on these routes, along with heavy police deployment. The extended Red Zone will be sealed and opened only in emergency situations .

Containers have been placed at D-Chowk, Faizabad, 26 Number Chungi, Tarnol, Margalla Avenue, Rawat T-Chowk, and other key locations. Currently, only Margalla Avenue has been kept open for entry into the Red Zone .

Additional Containers at City Entry Points

Additional containers have been moved to the city's entry points. According to sources, arrangements are being made for over 1,000 containers, several of which have been brought from Lahore. Containers are also being placed on routes connecting Islamabad and Rawalpindi, the Motorway, GT Road, and other highways to stop protesters .
