Quetta, August 4, 2026 – Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, met with the Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly, Captain (Retired) Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai, today in Quetta.
The meeting involved detailed discussions on provincial affairs, public welfare, and legislation. Both leaders deliberated on the overall situation in Balochistan and devised a joint strategy to address the issues faced by the people.
According to sources, important matters related to the provincial budget, development projects, and the performance of assembly sessions were also discussed. The Speaker briefed the Chief Minister on legal and administrative matters that arose during recent assembly proceedings.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti stated that joint efforts by the government and the assembly would open doors to progress and prosperity in the province. He further emphasized that public issues would be resolved on a priority basis and that all assembly members should play an active role in the development of their constituencies.
Speaker Captain (Retired) Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai assured the Chief Minister that the assembly would fully cooperate with the government on bills and legislation in the public interest. He said that all political parties would work together to further strengthen parliamentary traditions and promote democratic values.
This meeting is considered significant in the context of the province's political and legislative activities. Both leaders also consulted on important bills and the agenda for upcoming assembly sessions.
