ABU DHABI: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has condemned attacks on mosques, describing them as extremism and incitement against Muslims.

In a statement issued by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it emphasized that desecrating and attacking places of worship is condemnable and poses a threat to global peace.

The statement further stated that protecting the sanctity of mosques is a shared responsibility of all nations, and the international community must take effective measures to prevent such incidents. The UAE called on all countries to promote interfaith harmony and tolerance.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged all nations to ensure the protection of mosques and other places of worship and adopt a firm stance against extremist behaviour.

It is noteworthy that incidents of attacks on mosques have increased in various countries recently, which has caused deep concern among Islamic nations worldwide.
