QUETTA: A provincial cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, during which 26 agenda items were discussed and several important decisions were made . Tribute to Martyrs

The meeting began with prayers for those martyred in terrorist incidents in Balochistan, and the provincial cabinet paid tribute to the martyrs .

Educational Decisions

Provincial Minister Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi stated that scholarships were approved through the Workers Welfare Board, while the cabinet granted university status to Taamir-i-Nau School and College . Changes were made to the Balochistan Cadet College Board, with 11 cadet colleges currently operating in the province .

Administrative Decisions

The cabinet approved the Balochistan Child Protection Rules 2026, described as a major breakthrough in this sector . Approval was also granted for the creation of a new tehsil in Balochistan . A planning manual was announced, and the confusion over A and B areas has been eliminated .

Development Projects

Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi said the federal government will provide Rs15 billion for the Harnai-Sibi Road project, with the remaining cost borne by the provincial government .

Security Situation

Provincial Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove said the families of the Ziarat martyrs had not demanded the restoration of the Levies Force . He revealed that cameras installed under the Safe City Project had been damaged during strikes and protest activities .

Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi said security forces achieved significant success in Shaban and that terrorist networks in Balochistan would be dismantled . He said all national highways would be made secure and extraordinary measures would be required to restore normalcy in the province .

Political Matters

Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi said the National Party had stated it would not join the government, while Dr. Malik Baloch had not expressed a desire to become chief minister . He said there is a need to understand the situation and events in Balochistan .
