QUETTA, August 6, 2026 – On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Assistant Commissioner (City) Muhammad Amir Hamza to finalize arrangements for the decoration and illumination of government and private buildings for Independence Day on August 14.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Education Department, PTCL, NTC, Serena Hotel, various banks, and other relevant institutions.
Assistant Commissioner (City) Muhammad Amir Hamza directed the participants to adorn their respective buildings with national flags, electric lights, and other decorative materials in accordance with the Government of Balochistan's instructions. He emphasized that Independence Day should be celebrated with national zeal, patriotism, and festive spirit, and that a beautiful atmosphere of celebration should be visible across the city .
The meeting stressed that all arrangements should be completed on time to ensure that Independence Day is celebrated in a dignified manner . The Assistant Commissioner instructed the relevant institutions to finalize their decoration work as soon as possible.
On this occasion, participants also presented their suggestions for Independence Day and agreed that Quetta city would look exceptionally attractive and festive on August 14 this year .
