To restore peace and stability in Balochistan, the government has paved the way for negotiations with disgruntled Baloch and militant groups. In a recent interview, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti clarified that conditions have been set for negotiations, and these conditions are within the framework of the Constitution and law.

The government’s conditions are as follows:

1. Constitution and Rule of Law: CM Bugti stated that any negotiation process must be conducted within the Constitution and legal framework . He emphasized that separatist movements or armed struggles against the state will not be accepted .

2. No Negotiations with Militant Groups: CM Bugti made it clear that there is no possibility of negotiations with armed militant groups . He said that no agreement will be made with those who challenge the state’s writ and engage in terrorism .

3. Peace and Stability as Priority: The objective of negotiations is to promote peace and stability . The government wants all political parties, prominent figures, and tribal elders to play a role in restoring peace .

4. Resolution of Political and Social Issues: The government intends to resolve political and social issues through dialogue . CM Bugti stated that listening to the legitimate grievances of the people and finding solutions is a top priority for the government .

5. Opposition to Foreign Interference: The government maintains that foreign interference in any form will not be tolerated, and Balochistan's issues can only be resolved under Pakistan's Constitution and laws .

Invitation to Negotiations: The government has extended an invitation to political parties and tribal elders for negotiations to resolve public issues . CM Bugti said that the military and other institutions are also with the government in establishing peace .
