The announcement was made while presiding over a meeting of the Secretaries' Committee in Quetta, where the performance of various provincial departments was reviewed. During the meeting, the Chief Minister administered an oath to senior officers that they would not allow the sale of any government job in the province.

CM Mir Sarfraz Bugti made it clear that "I said from day one that no job will be sold. All cabinet members, including the Chief Secretary of Balochistan, are united on this principled stance." He stated that recruitments must be transparent and merit-based, and if concrete evidence of job selling is found in any department, then neither the minister nor the secretary of that department will remain in their position.
